So here it is: I used Sweetapolita's Pink Vanilla and Sprinkles Cake recipe and it was delicious! The Vanilla Buttercream icing is like sweet meringue buttercream. Yum!
For the delicious cupcakes, I used Magnolia's Vanilla Cupcakes. I've made these many times before and they are such a hit!

I found your blog through Pinterest and love it! My little girl's bday party is in two weeks and your posts have given me lots of inspiration! I am definitely making those poms! Did you make your cake and cupcakes the day before so you had more prep in the morning? I am just figuring out a timeline for it all! Thanks!
ReplyDeleteHi Kristina! Thanks for your sweet comment ;) I made the cake and cupcakes the day before!! I put the final icing touches on the cake the morning of. I probably wouldn't recommend that depending on what time your party is. Fortunately, I had everything else done though. The icing is a bit tricky, the first time I made it actually. It worked fine with my Kitchenaid mixer though ;) Good luck!
