When we bought this house, I knew the driveway and front stairs had to be redone. The driveway had pot holes in it and the stairs were completely cracking apart and were very steep. It was a safety concern when my friends brought their babies over. "Watch your step!" My hubby didn't think it was a big deal which is surprising because he's Mr. Safety. After I finally convinced him it needed to be done, he was very happy that we did it. Besides, it only helps resale value and curb appeal. A win-win situation ;) We actually did this work last year but I just haven't gotten around to posting photos.
So here are some before photos:
BEFORE (stairs)
BEFORE (driveway)
{nice pot holes!}
DURING
{bye bye stairs, we will not miss you!}
DURING
{so long, driveway}
DURING
{the start of construction}
AFTER
{new stairs, new flagstone on the doorstep stairs, new double front door}
Please excuse the ugly doorbell. I'll have to change that.
This cute little chalkboard sign was a breeze to make and it comes in handy!! I just painted some chalkboard paint over a little wooden piece from Michael's and stapled some twine on the back ;)
And one last look at our gorgeous new pavers.
Love how it all turned out!!!
