I've made a few changes to our master bedroom recently. I made a post {here} about how we got a new bed last year from Pottery Barn. Here is a tour of my master bedroom that I posted about {here}.
Here is the BEFORE:
And before I continue, let me just say that I LOVED this bedskirt. Mostly because I put a lot of hard work into making it. One day I might show you a tutorial {did I mention it was a lot of work??} We've moved homes so many times that our bed was falling apart. We both loved the look of an upholstered bed so we just went for it. But I did up-cycle my bedskirt to this tablecloth for my daughter's 1st birthday party {you can read about the party here}
I bought a linen tablecloth from Home Sense last year and even though I washed it on cold and hung it to dry it still shrunk. So I just stitched all the ruffles I made along the edge of the tablecloth and voila!
Okay, so now on to the AFTER:
We love this bed. It's lower than our previous bed which, to me, makes it seem more cozy.
I love the lines...
The nailheads are massive.
We also got the matching bench for the bottom of our bed.
Here are a few more photos of our room.
A memory box with our wedding vows.
And finally my favorite reading nook.
Have a great week!
