My dining room goals list is almost done!
It seems to have taken forever. And once it’s done I’ll probably have more to do it. Actually, no. I think I’m going to be done with this room for awhile.
It’s really good to make a list of goals for a specific room or else I think I would go back and forth on my decisions or not do any of them at all.
Now that my list is nearing completion, it’s feeling good. I especially love the results of this recent project.
Sanding each chair leg was time consuming but gratifying!
I’m loving my rustic dining chairs.
See the difference? I love them.
These chairs were bought just from Home Sense but this has been my idea for them since I bought them three years ago.
There is so much dark wood in this room it needed some brightening up.
The chairs look more rustic now.
We recently added this shelf above the cowhide dresser.
I purchased the metal brackets from Etsy from this shop.
The wooden shelf? It’s a drawer front from this dresser.
Okay, here’s what I’ve accomplished and what’s left (almost done!!!):
Paint dining room walls. Sand down table top and paint legs with AS Chalk Paint. Sand down white cabinet to a chippy white. Sand chair legs.
- Paint grain sack stripes on bench. —> bench has since been moved out of the dining room, I’m going to update this cabinet after input from my lovely readers!
Replace white cabinet. Redecorate and reposition furniture.
- Center chandelier above table. (newly added!)
